National Association of Home Builders for “Homes for Life” remodeling
The National Association of Home Builders announced its annual Remodeler Awards, Thursday, March 4, naming DLM Builders winner in its Homes for Life category for excellence in aging-in-place design and/or accessible home modifications in a remodeled home. Homes for Life work no matter what station of life, and they help residents continue living in their homes as they grow older and/or face physical challenges. Demand in the Triad is growing.

The Pandemic Has Changed Home Forever
DLM Builders works with clients to imagine what their home can become, based on their needs and dreams. We can bring it all together under one contract.
Meet DLM Builders
When DLM was getting its start back in the early ’90s, our project list included just about anything an old house might need. Our antique home in College Hill – and our neighbors’ homes – needed everything! We started working on tile and hardwood floors, plumbing, structural repairs, and much more.
Branching out of the neighborhood, we talked with many people who wanted to make their homes more functional and livable, and were looking for a professional Greensboro remodeler to do a complete kitchen makeover or add a master bedroom and bath.
DLM had been successfully creating and updating spaces in Greensboro’s three historic districts, and becoming more well-known all over town.
David Millsaps formed DLM Builders over 27 years ago. He’s your idea man – having seen the many ways spaces can be ill – designed and built, he can suggest alternatives that will work for you and your home. David enjoys maintaining the client relationship, and is involved with each project from initial meeting to successful completion.
Remembering Leslie Millsaps
David and Leslie made up the D and the L in DLM. Leslie was the public face of the company and active in Preservation Greensboro, Habitat for Humanity and other charities. She loved our work and infused the business with a sense of joy and intentionality that will always be part of DLM Builders.
